that are outside of our club and have issued a

.
They will be listed in black later when certain.

There are more to come later -

 FOR UPDATED RIDES AND DATES
(they can change) Look below for available rides now

As a courtesy to the group...

Please arrive at the ride location no later than 10 minutes before
the start of a ride
.
This allows you sufficient time to make sure your bike is ready to go, and helps
the ride leader have a good estimate of how many people will be on the ride.

Make sure to bring with you an extra tube (or two!), pump or CO cartridge, ID,
and money (if needed).

Bike to School Day
TBD
Wednesday, May 6, 2015
There will be a lot of coordination with ACSC for this event; there is already support within the schools to promote BTSD (and BTWD) though, which is huge compared to our reception the past few years. Anita is working with Anderson High School to promote the event at the High School level. Ben, Ryan, and Allan are working with ACSC specifically to promote the event at Anderson and Erskine Elementaries. The biggest issue at this point is determining the logistics; specifically for bicycle storage since most of the schools do not have bicycle racks. Julie mentioned attempting to get a CIBA or BGI grant for installation before May. Anita mentioned Dan Schneider as a contact with the Middle School and utilizing the High School marquee and new Wellness teacher for promotion.

***COVER INDIANA Bicycle Tour
  • Sunday, May 8 - Saturdaty, May 14, 2014
  • From: Layfayete to Indianapolis (380 miles)
  • Habitat for Humanity fundraiser
  • The tour will take place from May 8 - May 14,
beginning in Lafayette and ending in downtown Indianapolis
    and covering 380 miles.
  • Cover Indiana is an annual weeklong bicycle tour through Central Indiana. It was created in 2004, by HFH of Indiana to raise money and awareness for the mission of Habitat for Humanity in the state, as well as establish community among the many Habitat affiliates in Indiana.

Years later the goals are largely the same, although many people ride on “Cover” who have no previous affiliation with Habitat or the state of Indiana.

Riders will depart Lafayette for a weeklong, 380 mile journey that will culminate in Indianapolis. Along the way the group will overnight in churches and a community center. Habitat affiliates in the “overnight” communities will host the party, providing dinner, breakfast the next morning, and a warm, safe place to sleep. Cyclists will be supported by two “SAG” vans that will be available to provide first aid, assistance with flat tires, refreshments, etc. The towns the group will stay in include Crawfordsville, Terre Haute, Linton, Bedford, Ellettsville, and Plainfield

Each weeklong cyclist is required to pay a registration fee, as well as raise at least $350 of support. Each rider will then designate the money they raise to a Habitat affiliate of their choice. Those who can’t ride for a week are welcome for a day or however long they would like to ride.

  • LOOK AT SITE FOR MORE OPTIONS

For a list of registration fees see the register section of the website.

***Morse Lake Metric
  • Sunday, May 21, 2016
  • Arcadia, IN
  • Because we value the safety of our riders we will no longer be offering the Morse Lake Metric ride. The area around Morse Lake has become too congested for us to provide safe and scenic routes. We truly thank you for 16 years of wonderful rides! Please check out Rupert's Bicycle Jamboree that has all the great perks we always provide plus quiet country roads.

Thank you to our Morse Lake Metric riders!

Rupert's Bicycle Jamboree - White River Sound Chorus is proud to help support such a great organization as Rupert's Kids Mentoring Program. Please join us for a great bike ride on scenic rural roads in Shelby County. By participating you support three causes:

Ride Description: Come take a tour of the Indy Greenways! We’ll ride together in a relaxed Grand Touring pace and enjoy the scenery that only our Greenways can offer. The main route is a loop with segments on three different Greenways trails comprising almost all of the total route mileage. Halfway through the ride, we will have a rest stop at White River Gardens (cookies! apples! cider! hot chocolate! coffee!). We’ll grab a bite to eat at Scotty's Brewpub, just off the Monon Trail (just north of Carmel’s Main Street), about one mile before the end of the ride.
